Concrete Raising in Boston
When you walk around your Boston property, be it your home or your business, is it even? That is, do you see or feel dips in your driveway, walkway or patio? Don’t worry; there are less expensive alternatives than a complete replacement.
Concrete raising, sometimes referred to as concrete leveling, is a way to repair sunken or uneven concrete slabs at a much lower cost than replacing them.
How does concrete raising work?
First, the team of concrete raisers at B H Johnson Concrete Construction examine the concrete to determine what the underlying problem is. By understanding how the problem came to be we can figure out the best way to repair it. Next, we drill holes in the concrete to create access points for the leveling mixture. This leveling mixture (a mix of cement, top soil and water) is pumped into the holes to fill in the void underneath the piece and raise up the concrete at the same time. After leveling has been achieved and a careful inspection carried out, the holes are filled and the area cleaned. Lastly, comes a final inspection with the property owner so that they see the results and have all their questions answered.
